Tuesdays are often a celebration of the body and being able to sweat and push boundaries. Getting up at 4:30am has to have a great payoff if you’re not a morning person. For my part, I’ve been working on my business hustle and rewriting plans about “what I want to be when I grow up”. Sweat is a great way to figure out what is really important and the solitude of my spin workout is an environment where I strip away the noise and drive hard to my goals.  I pinched a nerve or pulled something in my hip and while I move like an old lady and take 10 minutes to put on my pants, I’m still working out.
Yes, that might not be very smart.
Today’s reward for showing up is the satisfaction that I did it. I didn’t quit. I thought about quitting and there were times I couldn’t spin my legs more but I thought about what Robin Arzon says about being a basic bitch. It’s true, at 5am most of the basic bitches are still in bed. Was that me? No, I was grinding it out on my Peloton. It’s a Tuesday. I have stuff to do!
Here’s the phrase that kept going through my head when there were 20 minutes left to go in the workout. I’m turning it into a print for my gallery wall and will offer it up to any reader who would like the crisp, pdf file version available to download in print quality in an 8×10 size..
